In the second largest city in Mexico, far from the ocean and a mile high in the mountains the Guadalajara Zoo and Aquarium opened the first jellyfish display in the region on July 1, 2009. The Tenji team furnished the entire living display, life support, staff training, a juvenile jelly culture laboratory, and the jellyfish. The display and the jellyfish culture lab were shipped over land in huge crates. The Tenji team spent 12 days assembling the two living systems. The staff training involved a detailed, two day training seminar on the care and maintenance of jellyfish.
